That is me — running after my now two-year old daughter Sam. In the picture, I am also about 4 months on the way, with my second daughter (we call her Jamie).
For the past two and a half years, we’ve lived in North Carolina, and this has been my life. Not so much the running, but learning to be a mom, and hopefully a good one at that (although I would have to say, being a mom involves a lot of running too).
You could say that I have immersed myself in the study of motherhood and have been trying to put some logic, structure and science to raising a family. Amidst the books, so-called experts, doctors, and the “What to Expect“s of this world, I have discovered that it is a continuous experiment that each one of us has to have a go at and learn as we go along.
I am no expert, mind you. But here is my attempt, based only on my personal experiences (and mistakes), as well as what I have learned from other moms around me to try to make sense of it all. My hope is that you too can learn from what I have gone through. Hopefully with your comments and critiques (I am happy to accept all forms of conversation), I can learn from you too.
And if all else fails, then at the very least, you would have just had a good laugh, on my account. 🙂
